This is the oath of a Green Lantern,
And of every other Green Lantern fan that attended the SDCC this weekend in California. This year was a good year to be a GL fan. We got "Green Lantern: First Flight" and the "Blackest Night" comic event began. As if this was not enough, we're also getting 4 wave's of DC Direct Blackest Night figures. To add to the Emerald fire, Graphitti teamed up with DC Direct to release SDCC exclusive Hal Jordan figures depicting Hal's challenges with the new color spectrum of rings this year.
Sources at the con told us that getting these figures was a challenge in itself. There were only 1500 of each, except for Green which saw 3000 pieces. Fans had to stand in line and win a ticket raffle in which after they could trade the ticket in for a figure. The first 3 colors, Green, Yellow, and Blue were easy enough to get, but over the weekend on Saturday and Sunday the fans that hit the Con on the weekend exclusively ate the raffle tickets up and getting Orange and Red became a tougher challenge than any fan could have anticipated.
As usual, if you want to pick these up and are a hardcore enough GL fan to drop the dough, Ebay sellers will be more than happy to take your money for the colorful Hal Jordan set.
